Boilerplate
Teahouse is a mahjong solitaire game for iPhone, iPad and Mac in which every tile is face-up from the first move and every board is proven winnable before the player sees it. It removes the genre's central defect — punishing decisions the player had no information to make — and with it the ads, shuffles and dead ends that defect pays for.
Boards are generated constructively and graded by the depth of planning they demand rather than by tile count or a timer. Hints explain why a match is safe or fatal instead of gifting a free move, and a coach can walk a lost game back to the exact move that stranded the board.
Teahouse is free to play daily, with one optional unlock. It contains no advertising, collects no data, and runs entirely on the device.
