Is Teahouse free?
Yes, to play. You get a fresh certified-solvable board every day, on every layout and difficulty, at no cost and with no advertising. One optional in-app purchase unlocks unlimited boards and all six tile sets — a single payment, not a subscription.
Are there ads?
No. There is no advertising in the free version and none in the paid version. The genre's ads are usually served on the dead end it created for you; Teahouse has no dead ends, so there is nothing to interrupt.
What does "certified solvable" actually mean?
Every board is built by placing pairs in a legal removal order and reversing it, so a winning line provably exists before you ever see the board. It is not a deal that was tested and kept — it is a board that could not have been built any other way.
Why is there no shuffle button?
Because you never need one. A shuffle exists to rescue you from a dead end, and a face-up certified board cannot produce one under correct play. If you do get stuck, the mistake is recoverable with undo, and the coach will show you exactly where it happened.
Can I play offline?
Yes. Everything runs on your device. There are no accounts and no servers of ours, so there is nothing to sign in to and nothing that stops working on a plane.
Does Teahouse collect any data?
No. No analytics, no tracking, no personal data — the App Store privacy label says Data Not Collected. The only network call in the app is Apple's StoreKit, and only if you choose to make a purchase.
Does one purchase cover iPhone, iPad and Mac?
Yes. Teahouse ships as a universal purchase, so unlocking it on one Apple device unlocks it on the others signed in to the same Apple Account.
Is progress synced between my devices?
No, and that is a consequence of having no servers. Your boards, streaks and results live on the device that played them. The daily puzzle is the same board everywhere on a given date, so a streak can be continued on another device even though the history does not travel with it.
What languages does it support?
Eleven: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. The whole interface is translated, not just the store page.
Is there a Vision Pro version?
Not yet. A separate immersive edition is in development, which puts a full-size table in your room. It has not been released and there is no date.
